HALLO-WIENERS

Entering the event:
There is free parking available at Gate 6. See the link above for a map to the event. It is $5 to enter the event per person. Ages 17 and under are FREE. You can purchase tickets day of through Santa Anita Park. If you are racing, you will check in at our booth located at the entry of the event.
BRINGING YOUR DACHSHUND:
This is really important, if you are bringing your dachshund to the event, racing or not, you must check in your dog at our booth at the entry. Santa Anita Park requires vaccinations to enter. Please bring proof of vaccinations for both RABIES and DISTEMPER/PARVO to our booth including the signed waiver for both SoCal Wienerfest and Santa Anita Park. See link above for waiver. If you do not do this beforehand, that’s ok we will have some there) This also includes any dogs you bring that are NOT racing. All dogs must be checked before entering event.
Dog Rules:
ONLY DACHSHUNDS ARE ALLOWED AT THE EVENT
All dogs must be checked at booth (racers and non-racers)
All dogs must be on leash at all times (except for racing)
Owner/handler is responsible for their dog at all times, including cleaning up after dog.
Dog owners must follow the instructions of Santa Anita Park staff at all times. Dogs can be expelled from Santa Anita Park for any reason
Races:
Dachshund races will start at 1pm and run every 30 minutes with a 15-minute break in-between until 3pm. We are racing on the infield, timing the races along with the horse races. If you are racing you should have received an email from us with details and the time you are racing. The Championship Race will start at 4:00pm on the main track.
Costume Contest:
The dog Halloween costume contest will be held on the infield at 3:00pm. You can sign your dog up at our booth inside the event. We are taking a max of 30 dogs so get there early to get a spot! We will do a parade of the dogs and introduce each one. There will be judges to pick 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
